Buffalo Dental Implant

I have been a patient of Dr. Farber's for the past several months and he has been extraordinary! His level of knowledge, skill, and enthusiasm are unparalleled. I had a very complex and unusual case- I needed a full-mouth extraction, and implants for nearly my entire mouth. Dr. Farber was the only doctor in Buffalo who had the expertise and ability to help me. I had gone to several dentists and oral surgeons before him, but none of them knew what to do. Dr. Farber came up with an extensive and precise plan which he executed over the course of several months with tremendous skill. Anytime something unpredictable or challenging happened, he handled it with confidence, determination, and patience. Dr. Farber was continuously kind, reassuring, supportive, and optimistic. I was able to reach him with any questions or concerns, and he always instilled a sense of confidence. He also has unique knowledge of the most cutting-edge dental techniques and devices, and part of his plan involved prosthetic devices that other specialists had no knowledge of. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Farber's dental care, and I would recommend him to everyone!

 

When a tooth extraction and an implant became necessary, my dentist sent me to an oral surgeon.  There I was told that the extraction would be very complicated: the tooth – it seemed – couldn’t come out in one piece and instead first had to be cut in two.  It would be, said the doctor, more of an operation, requiring my complete anesthetization. Once I woke up I would have to have someone to drive me home.  Putting an implant in was also described as a very complex process.

 

My conversation with the oral surgeon was followed by a lengthy discussion with a financial expert working for the doctor, who sketched a payment plan for an extremely costly procedure.

When I left the oral surgeon’s office, I was very upset by the complexity of what I needed to undergo.  Soon afterwards, however, I talked to a friend and she suggested that I should see Dr. Farber.

 

During my first visit Dr. Farber informed me that he would extract the tooth without cutting it in two, and would simply give me local anesthetic. This is exactly what happened. The tooth was taken out with a lot of care and without any complications. During the entire procedure Dr. Farber kept informing me exactly what he was doing, this way calming my nerves and making sure I knew  at all time what was going on.  Once the tooth was out, I hopped into my car and went home, feeling no discomfort.  Later I felt fine as well and didn’t need  any pain medication.

 

The following visits and putting the implant in were very similar: no discomfort, no complications. Dr. Farber again accompanied his work by telling me about every step of the procedure.

 

All went well and I’m happy with the implant.
